CCNA
I’ve rescheduled the CCNA first attempt to the 19th of December. I will be going to a testing center for this and have another attempt with my voucher if needed. There are some things that I have been working on as far as my CCNA knowledge. The CCNA certification is something that I have put in some serious hours as far as training. This has helped with some of my anxiety regarding the CCNA exam.
Certifications to Clear
Currently I have trained on more certifications than just the CCNA. I have four exams that I would like to take that include the CCNA, Network+, AZ-900, and the Certified in Cybersecurity. Planning on taking these four to clear out my buffer and will be looking to test for these if I can work them into my budget. I am scheduled to take the CCNA already and have some room for a second attempt if needed.
2025 Certifications
The above mentioned certifications are the main ones that I am planning for 2025. I have been looking at different certification providers and found some that I would like to do for a basic part of a specialty. These certifications are the MD-102 from Microsoft which will allow me to get an associate level Microsoft certification. The other three are the WCNA, Cybersecurity Apprentice and the ACE Associate.
For the WCNA, it is a Wireshark certification that would let me do more in packet analysis and inspection. The Cybersecurity Apprentice from Palo Alto is a foundational level certification which would allow me to go for the PCNSA eventually. The third certification is the ACE Associate which is from Aviatrix that does certifications for Cloud Networking. The ACE Associate is the basic certification on the path to the ACE Professional certification.
Conclusion
I think that the four main certifications are the ones I want to clear for 2025. I am thinking more seriously about the Cybersecurity Apprentice certification from Palo Alto. Studying for the MD-102 already so I might try that as well. There are at least six certifications that I will be trying to do for next year and I will be doing the CCNA and the AZ-900 at least.
Thinking that I will be working on some certifications more in Network Security and want to include the cybersecurity certifications more into my plan for my dream job which is still a CTO, CIO or CISO role. I am gearing up for more Palo Alto certifications due to the Security Operations and Network Security tracks being two of the CISSP domains. Also working on some IAM certs like the SC-900 and the SC-300.
