Welcome to aaronwdejong.net. This blog is about me, Aaron DeJong, and my journey in life and IT. The journey is also about my ultimate goal of becoming a CIO, CISO, or CTO in the future. Working on certifications has allowed me to regain my focus and push through my walls of anxiety on the way to getting better.

I am currently Owner and Content Writer at Aaron W. DeJong, which is a sole proprietorship that is in Aurora, CO. Aaron W. DeJong is a content writing firm. For my job experience, I have around 5 years of Systems Administrator experience and did around 11 months as a Network Administrator. The last IT job that I held was at Community College of Aurora back in 2014 and I have been getting better since then with my anxiety.

I have a B.S. in Computer Network Management and an A.A.S. in Computer Network Engineering. Both of these degrees are from Westwood College where I also completed the CCNA and CCNP programs through the Cisco Networking Academy.

Currently, I hold ten IT certifications including the ITF+, A+, Linux Essentials, AWS CCP, MS-900, AZ-900, SC-900, CCST Cybersecurity, CCST Networking and the CCNA certifications.

I also have a marketing certification which is the SEO Essentials with Semrush, in addition to six sports coaching certifications that include the Youth Mental Health First Aid, NFHS Coach Level 1, NFHS Middle School Coach Level 1, USA Football Youth Coach Tackle Certification 2026, USA Wrestling Teal Certification and the USA Wrestling Copper Certification.

I also work on my hobbies which include Reading, Lifelong Learning and IT skills like Programming, Computer Networking and Cybersecurity.
