Article
I recently wrote an article on Certifications for Network Defense that is on LinkedIn. You can get this by going to the following link.

This is a refinement of the previous blog post that I did on the same subject. The article provides more information about my background and interests in IT. I went deeper into my thought process on Network Defense certifications. I’ve also been working on a list of Network Pentesting certifications. Doing an article on that in the near future.
Changes to Focus
I am recently more interested in Technology and will always have an IT focus to what I do. There are some things like Financial Planning and Wealth Management that I am wanting to pursue. I am interested in Finance as a stepping stone to a CTO, CIO, or CISO role. I am currently subscribed to Corporate Finance Institute and will be pursuing the Financial Planning Role Path on this platform.
I’ve been subscribed since August and changed what I want to accomplish with CFI. Looking more at the Financial Planning & Wealth Management Professional certification. I’m seeing CFI as more of an accumulation of knowledge in the Finance field. This is much like my subscription to LinkedIn Learning.
Journaling and Reading
Being back into doing journaling I have found a lost piece of what I was doing that was contributing to my success. There are some things that I am doing like putting in special items like writing an article. Even updating my book list or doing a study plan on this section in my journal. These changes along with adding CFI have given me the ability to be more productive.
Conclusion
I have rescheduled the CCNA first attempt to December 10th, 2024. If I pass, I can add the exam score to my LinkedIn page. Then continue on with my studies with the Network+, AZ-900, and Certified in Cybersecurity exams. I will be still mainly studying for IT certifications in addition to some courses on the Corporate Finance Institute platform.
