New Beginnings
I usually do the Friday post, but today I chose to do Thursday so that I can celebrate new beginnings. There are some things that I have been doing to keep current with my business knowledge. Due to the entrepreneurship skills that I have now, I would like to put them into use. I have some background in both Business and IT and want to go forward with my career.
Recently I put in my resume for an opportunity at Community College of Aurora in the IT Department, however I was having too much anxiety regarding doing a full time role. I took my resume out of the consideration for this job. Having this anxiety is helpful which prompted me to think of creative ways to progress further, with my mental health not hindering my ability to find a job.
Business Venture
I am working on setting up a new IT Services business that will focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 Helpdesk in addition to Network Technician and Network Administrator roles. This will primarily be as a consultant, subcontractor and some part time contractor roles at first. I will be having this business do some technical writing freelancing and technical writing projects.

Update on Reading and Training
Having some time to read has helped me build up my knowledge of IT in general. Currently, I am reading the CompTIA Tech+, Third Edition book. This is my third book so far this year having read the Security+ book and the Exam Ref SC-900 book. I think that my training is more thought out and might be somewhat harder.
For training I have added some things like Server+ and DP-900 training in addition to Security+, AZ-900, SC-900 and CCNP ENCOR training. I am also adding reading for the Tech+ and CCST: IT Support exams that I want to keep up to date with knowing the material. I’m thinking that I am going to finish my Project+ training as well.
