Update on my newer projects

TryHackMe

On TryHackMe, I have recently made it into the top 10%. This is something that I have been working on as a newer project and is a cybersecurity learning and CTF site based in the UK. I find that I am working more on Linux and Networking skill rooms. These are both good skills for me to work on. I am working through the Complete Beginner learning path and have completed the Introduction to Cybersecurity and Pre-Security learning paths.

Thinking about my blog posts has enabled me to explore some additional options. I am considering things like doing articles and expanding my blog pages. I want to put some more money in aaronwdejong.net. This will work on my analytics component to see some more options for improvement. This project is a cool newer project in which I can grow and explore possibilities.

Reading 45 books per year

I have completed my goal of reading 45 books this year and as of today have read the 50th book. This project is keeping me up to date on new technologies and concepts that I can use to grow my knowledgebase on Information Technology. I am taking a break after two more books and will have some time to spare at the end of the year to explore programming in Ruby and Chef.

Conclusion

Going into the new year I am working more on the newer projects like TryHackMe to add to my Networking and Linux skill set. In addition, I am working on this blog and want to expand more into analytics and improving my readership. I think that I have been working on reading 45 books throughout the year with last year reading 53 books and reading 50 so far for this year.
