Content Creation

This blog, aaronwdejong.net, is going back to be my main blog. The content on this website is going to be more focused on my life and journey in IT. This will allow for this blog to be more about my journey towards becoming a CIO, CISO, or CTO.

I have moved the content back towards aaronwdejong.net and will use the aaron597.com domain. This will work for the technical training and educator aspects of AWS, Microsoft, and Cisco technologies. The third blog will mainly be focused on pain points in studying for certification exams. This also becomes more specific for Computer Networking and Cybersecurity. This will be on the mrcertification.tech domain that I will be setting up in the next few weeks.

Influencer Marketing

There will be some more social media channels that I will be working on for Aaron W. DeJong and through these channels I will be doing more things as a top fan influencer. I have 1,134 friends on Facebook, with 64 followers on Instagram. In addition, I have 1,009 followers on LinkedIn, hitting the 1k mark, and have 28 followers on X. Out of these four I am in the top 5% most active people on LinkedIn. I’m still working on a better marketing plan for X, and it might need more short form content and more activity from me on X.

Planning

I have been working on my business plan for Aaron W. DeJong and feel that I am transitioning it to more of a content marketing company with some additional content that will be through things like study plans and social media posts. With my business plan, I am honing my sole proprietorship into having a more solid marketing and operations plan for the content that I am creating for these marketing channels.

Business Plan

I have been working on the business plan for Aaron W. DeJong and will be positioning the sole proprietorship towards a professional Content Marketing company where I can be more engaged. The Content will be scheduled and will attend to more of the customer personas and the buyer’s journey. I will set up some more things like a content plan that is a schedule of the content throughout the year and will be set up for my three blogs mainly.

This allows for better consideration and content for different customer personas and throughout the buyer’s journey that I will be marketing more towards. The business plan will allow me to see the marketing plan and operations plan as a more successful business. The short form content is there for social media, and I will work on other platforms like Substack to help with this part of the business plan.

Conclusion

The things that I am working on this year include more planning and more content creation to allow me to grow my sole proprietorship. I will be doing more projects this year and finished redesigning my aaronwdejong.net website that is now live. I am working on my follower count on X and still growing Instagram. There are some additional things that I am studying for, including the HubSpot Content Marketing Certification and the Semrush SEO Fundamentals Certification. This will help me grow my Content Creation business as I learn more.
