Cybersecurity and Programming

Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity is one of the paths that I am focusing on this year. There is the Certified in Cybersecurity certification, from ISC2, that is a certification that I want to clear this year. This cert will get me to a better spot in my studies as far as cybersecurity goes. I will also be doing the EC-Council N|DE which is the Network Defense Essentials which is the first step to the goal which is passing the Certified Network Defender or C|ND exam.

Programming

The other path that I am focusing on this year is Programming. I am currently working on watching some YouTube videos on Ruby, JavaScript, and Python. I can also do this with Udemy and skillsforall.com. This will make me better for Programming, which I will need to do my ultimate goal of being a CTO further down the road. I will be doing the Python Institute PCEP certification this year to improve my programming skills.

Conclusion

These two paths will continue the journey for me this year on the way to getting back to work as a Network Administrator. Both Cybersecurity and Programming are two of the core foundations that I will use to build my career to reach CTO status. I have been looking at how I can grow my career through getting certain certifications and the costs involved along with the skills that I can grow into.

There are two books that I have read this year and I reached reading 52 books in 2023. I will continue the journey. This will not be the end of my journey with Cybersecurity and Programming. There are some sites like CodeRed from EC-Council where I can further develop my skills and build on my current skill set. Working on this blog has been helpful to help me with socialization and my social anxiety.
