Reading Update
I have read the books that I have mentioned, which were the MD-102 and MS-102 books. Additionally for an update, I am on the 23rd book which I have selected and the book is Learn Wireshark, Second Edition. This book has about a third of the way left and I am reading it nearly every day. As far as other books, I am doing the 24th book as The Mathematics of Secrecy and the Book of Ruby after that.
I am pre-ordering the new CCNA book from Cisco Press that will have the new objectives in the book. This will include updates for things like Generational AI, Machine Learning and some Cloud Networking. I am slowly getting down on my stack of unread books. I am at around eight books left and will be looking for some new books to read.
Certification Update
I am close to 47% through the CCST: Cybersecurity training on the Adept platform from CBT Nuggets. As an update, this is the last training that I have still for the exam. I will be taking the CCST: Cybersecurity exam on June 18th, 2024. I am still studying for the CCNA and some other training for the Certified in Cybersecurity exam before I take both.
Changing some things on LinkedIn Learning and going into some more Courses and Learning Paths. I am pivoting away from the Web Development side of my studies and focusing more on the Programming courses. There are some things that have been added to the library for things like VMware and GitHub. Also, I am planning on taking some more courses on things like Ethical Hacking, Storage Networking and GRC.
Conclusion
Closing out this update post, I will be doing some more training on JavaScript but more in a Cybersecurity context and not learning as much coding in JavaScript. The two programming languages that I am working on the most will be Ruby and Python. Being in IT is my main goal and I am committed to lifelong learning. Constantly improving my skill set, for a better future me, as possibly a CTO or CISO sometime in the future.
