Cisco Certifications
I have been working on my basic level of understanding about IT in general. I am now onto a new chapter of my IT journey. This journey has helped, as I am more skilled in Cybersecurity and in Computer Networking, where I have a better overall skill set. In order to progress to a Network Administrator I am wanting to do most of my certifications with Cisco.
Working on Cisco Certifications has allowed me to become better than I have been in my overall skill set. The main goal is the CCNA v1.1 which comes out on August 20, 2024. I am currently studying for the CCST: Cybersecurity in addition to the CCNA. I am welcoming Cisco back into my life and have been studying more than needed for the exam, except for the new material in the v1.1 version of the book.
Other Pathways
There are some books that I have bought that are on the two CCNP Wireless Design and Implementation Exam Guide. In addition, I have bought the SPCOR book and the SPRI one to continue down a specialization path for CCNP Service Provider. I already have the books that I need for the CCNP Enterprise certifications which are the ENCOR and ENARSI exams.
I’m wanting to work on my CCNP level exams after the CCNA v1.1 exam. The other pathways that I want to go down are to study more and pass the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity exam, getting my MD-102, which is the Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate exam, and also working on getting the Network+, which I am wanting to sit for next year.
Conclusion
There are moments in the journey that you can define the path and this is one of the decisions that I am making to go towards the Cisco path for this leg. I am wanting to eventually get to the point that I am a CTO or CISO which is the destination. I have been studying for the Cisco exams without my anxiety getting in the way. There is still more road so I will continue the journey.
