Cisco Certifications to Work On

CCNA Exam v1.1

Studying for the CCNA 200-301 v1.1 exam and will be ready in about 2 months in November. There are significant study materials for this exam along with some new material in there as well. For the exam I will be using vouchers with a retake option which is something that I have been not doing the right way. For the study plan I am doing the CBT Nuggets 2024 CCNA training and have some videos left in a CCNA course on Udemy that I have been working on.

I’ve almost completed the study plan for the CCNA 200-301 v1.1 exam and have just these two items left. Going through with the exam this time will help me with my social anxiety. I think that studying for this is helpful for my mental health as it is a major roadblock in the way of me getting a job as a Network Administrator. I have thought about doing more Cisco exams to get more of an expertise given my Bachelor’s in Computer Network Management.

Planning more Cisco Certs

Having preordered the new CCST: IT Support book I am looking to get the third CCST next year. In addition I am working with the Cisco CyberOps Associate training material along with reading the book which are both more in depth than the CCST: Cybersecurity certification. I am looking to start some more advanced studies with Cisco for the ENCOR exam which is the core exam for the CCNP Enterprise certification.

Other Plans

Working on other certifications will help me as well this year and next. Looking into more AZ-900 exam training material and should test later in the year or early next year. There are also some things like the Network+ and the second take of the Certified in Cybersecurity exam that I will take next year. Still working on my Ruby Programming along with some more Python and Chef Programming.

Learning to Code in Ruby and around 84% complete on this Ruby course that is on Udemy. Chef Programming is something that I want to work on more along with some more Python. Some more knowledge of Ethical Hacking and Network Defense will help me out too. The CCNA is the main goal this year so it gets priority before my other plans.

Conclusion

I will be working on these plans and have been doing some soft skills as well to enhance my resume. There are some things that will have to wait like the Penetration Testing and getting more Cybersecurity certifications. For my main goal next year I am wanting to do the CyberOps Associate certification and start working on completing the ENCOR training material for the CCNP Enterprise.

There are some training materials on CBT Nuggets that are for Terraform and Ansible which I will look at completing more of the HashiCorp Terraform training. Starting on the Ansible training will be one of the things that I will look into. I am wanting to also work on some Palo Alto certifications and the CCNP Security. I will also be doing the PJPT and PNPT exams sometime as well as the NDE and CND exams.
