This is my main website that I have for Aaron W. DeJong. I am going to be changing the main page and move the blog component to another page. The reason that I am doing this is so that aaronwdejong.net becomes more like my company website. The changes will be made in the next few weeks and there will be better brand-oriented content.
Content Marketing
I am making my sole proprietorship into a content marketing firm. This will allow me to do my websites and get revenue from my blogs and articles. The focus is more on blog posts and articles with some more study plans and website content. I am also studying for the HubSpot Content Marketing Certification and the SEO Essentials with Semrush Certification. These two will help with my marketing and website content.
Reading and Studying
There are some things that I am studying for still. This is mainly the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner – Foundational Certification. I am on my fourth book which is the Google Cloud Digital Leader book. Studying has been somewhat routine lately and I am showing up for the other skills that I want to do as well.
Branding
The branding on this domain aaronwdejong.net is more for my journey in life and in IT and how it relates to my ultimate goal which is to become a CIO, CISO, or CTO in the future. I will be doing more content on my other two blogs for more educational content. The current site is going to be changed for more of a journal style or stream of consciousness kind of content but will be focused more on the journey that I am on.
The aarononit.blogspot.com website is going to be having more Information Technology content. It will also have some knowledge bytes that are about pain points in studying for certification exams. This website was originally done in 2013 and the last time that I posted was in 2017. We are coming out with more content that will be better for AdSense on the Blogger platform.
The aaron597.com domain is more for Computer Networking and Cybersecurity content and more in-depth information about pain points specifically in studying for certification exams. This content will be more focused around Computer Networking and Cybersecurity certifications and the pain points with those exams.
Conclusion
There are some things that I am working on for my skill set and I am working more on my Owner role at Aaron W. DeJong. The two marketing certifications will help me in this role and allow me to make some better decisions around my three blogs and how I am marketing them.
Doing more studying around the content marketing or content creation kind of material. This will help my three blogs with better quality content. I am also going to be putting out one to two articles per month for more of a longer form content. I want to do some self-publishing of an e-book, so I will be exploring that as we go into more brand-oriented material.
