CCST: Networking
Having passed the CCST: Networking exam on Tuesday, I found that I am still more interested in Computer Networking than Cybersecurity. On the CCST: Networking exam, I passed with a 902 needing 700 to pass. Knowing that, I am still wanting to take the Certified in Cybersecurity exam and take a more laid back approach to Cybersecurity. In cybersecurity I would still be doing it mainly for Network Security and Blue Team subjects like Network Defense.
Certification Progress
So far I have four certifications. These are the CompTIA ITF+ and A+ in addition to the Microsoft MS-900 and the Cisco CCST: Networking. I am working on some training on CBT Nuggets for some more Microsoft and Cisco Certifications. The certs that I am working on training for also include HashiCorp, AWS, CWNP, and CompTIA certifications.
Flexibility
I found that I am somewhat undecided on what I want to do as far as certifications. I am thinking about doing something like pursuing one and looking at doing another certification. Wanting to do anything beyond that is up to speculation more than anything. The next certification that I am pursuing is the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity certification. The certification that I am looking at doing is the CCNA which I might be able to pass as well.
Conclusion
I want to be able to do the certifications and also have the same flexibility that I have with reading my books. There is a lot to learn in IT and I am hoping that I am having less anxiety so that I can get back into the IT Industry as a Network Administrator. These are only the first few steps into my ultimate goal and journey to be a CTO which could take many years to realize.
