Changing Focus

Change Focus towards Cisco Certs

I have been studying for the Network+ and have scheduled it in April. I am still having around 7 to 8 hours of studying to do, mainly on LinkedIn Learning. I’m actually putting this on the backburner and wanting to get to it in the next 2-3 months. What I am doing in the meantime is changing my focus to studying for the CCST: Cybersecurity which is another Cisco certification.

This change will help me get a job in Computer Networking, as I have been going slow due to my anxiety level with Cisco certifications. I would still like to get a Network Administrator role and work on my cybersecurity skills. Adding the CCST: Cybersecurity due to my newfound skills in cybersecurity. I think that changing my focus towards a more Cisco oriented skill set will help me out in this next chapter of my career.

Study Plan for CCST: Cybersecurity

Currently working on my new study plan for this certification starting today. I am working on this cert with a couple books, a Udemy course, CBT Nuggets training on Adept, LinkedIn Learning training, some skillsforall.com training and some newer YouTube videos regarding this certification. This certification is also on the Certiport website like the CCST: Networking exam. I should do pretty well after following through with my study plan.

Conclusion

I am willing to change my focus to getting a new role as a Network Administrator by getting the CCST: Cybersecurity certification. I believe that I am having less anxiety and might need to get a part time job while still being on SSDI, which is disability, to pay for my pills and insulin. Coming back stronger than ever and more at peace with coffee without sugar and not anymore Mountain Dew or Monster in my life.
