Detour
There has been a slight detour and I have started studying for my first Certiprof certification. This is the ISO 20000 Foundation Exam, and I have been looking for something different to do for some time. The ISO 20000 Foundation exam will help me with ITSM or IT Service Management standards.
It will be helpful to get this designation from Certiprof to discover if I can do more skills like ITIL or COBIT frameworks in the future. This is the first step on the path to being an IT Manager which will help me get a CISO role later in my career. I also received a new badge on Credly at the following link. This is the Lifelong Learning Badge from Certiprof.

Training and Reading
I have been training for the Azure specialization, with the SC-900 being the certification that I have chosen next to help me along that path. Created an additional specialization path that is more in line with becoming a CISO and is more of a GRC and Project Management path.
Found more interesting things on Certiprof that I would like to accomplish, like the ISO 22301 standard that is for Business Continuity. Keeping up with my studies has allowed me to get some room in order to go down a detour or two before I continue on my journey. Currently studying for the ISO 20000 standard in which I have created a study plan.
The ISO 22301 Foundation I would like to get before I try to take the Certified in Cybersecurity exam. This will help me get a better score and pass the exam. For my reading, I am on the All-in-One Certified in Cybersecurity Exam Guide as the seventh book this year.
Conclusion
Doing a good job on my studying and will not renew my CBT Nuggets subscription which comes due in November. This will free up some funds to do the two Certiprof certifications and allow me to do more CTFs with my free time. Studying more GRC and Cybersecurity training materials with Udemy and LinkedIn Learning.
There are some additional certifications that I will be doing before the Certified in Cybersecurity retake which I haven’t scheduled yet and the SC-900. The SC-900 is probably going to be before the Security+. I do have seven certifications and will be getting at least two or three this year. In the meantime I will be doing training materials for the Server+, Cloud+, and Linux+ certifications.
