Certifications
I have been studying for the Certified in Cybersecurity certification that I will take next Tuesday. The test center is at Community College of Aurora. This testing center is not too far of a drive for me. I am still working on my study plan and want to complete the CCST: Cybersecurity training that I have left and the Certified in Cybersecurity Udemy training material.
There has been a refocusing of my IT progress towards me getting the CCNP ENCOR 350-401 exam. This is after the CCNA that I am still planning to do in August or September. I am willing to make progress on my other certifications and want to make the CCNP Enterprise the first professional level certification that I have. I would like to do the ENARSI 300-410 for the specialization.
Reading Progress
Currently reading book number 28 and is one of the two books I am reading for the CCNP ENCOR exam. Passing the Certified in Cybersecurity Exam Guide was not too challenging. For book 29, I will be reading the CCNP Enterprise Wireless Design and Implementation, 2nd Edition book. I am fully stocked with CCNP level books and will read the second CCNP Enterprise ENCOR Exam Guide as the 30th book.
Progress on Goals
For my ultimate goal being to become a CISO or CTO level manager, I have been working on how I will approach the CISSP goal and want to definitely do the SSCP, the CGRC and some certifications from Microsoft. The SC-900, SC-300 and the SC-200 are good goals to have for the Security Operations Domain and the Identity and Access Management CISSP Domain.
I have also looked more into the DoD IAT levels and might do the Network+ and the NDE to help with IAT level 1 roles and then the Security+ and CyberOps Associate certifications for IAT level 2 and CCSP Analyst designations later on. Wanting to do some contracting and can be a good Network Administrator. Maybe this is the path for me later on for Cybersecurity jobs.
Conclusion
Making progress on my ultimate goal and will put in more time and energy into my Python and Ruby studies. For Learning to Code with Ruby I am around 303 out of 427 items completed. Trying to complete this by the end of the year and have made a good amount of progress. Getting to the point that I can take the CCNA and have made steps to manage my anxiety more.
