AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
I passed the first AWS exam which is the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. Scored a 726 in which I needed 700 to pass. This one was not as high as I usually score but I felt that it was a good challenge. I did want to do the AWS Solutions Architect – Associate certification however this might be something for next year. There are some things that I want to accomplish for certifications this year.
Accomplishments
I want to be able to be a youth coach for wrestling and football and have accomplished the Youth Mental Health First Aid certification along with the AWS CCP certification mentioned above. There is some more training that I will be doing for USA Football, and I will be finishing up the second-year youth tackle certification in the next week or so.
Q2 2026 Goals
I am doing the training for USA Football and want to also broaden my reach by doing youth flag football along with youth tackle football. This is the first goal; the second goal is to work on the AZ-104 training and take the exam in June of 2026. I want to also do my USA Wrestling Copper certification by June as well. As my MS-900 is retiring, I will also be studying for the AB-900 to take its place along with doing the training materials for the Security+ exam.
Additional Goals
Other items that I will be working on will be the NFHS Accredited Interscholastic Coach, technical training, Ruby programming, and some DP-900 training. On these four I am just building my skill set and will want to work on them throughout the rest of the year. I think that I should start by mastering Ruby and then progress to something like Python. In addition, I will be trying to get my Microsoft Certified Trainer designation this year.
Conclusion
There are some additional things that I will be working on including studying for the LPIC-1, CAPM, and the CCNA Cybersecurity exams. I’m not sure where I will go from here and want to knock off a few certifications that I have been thinking about doing in addition to the AZ-104 training. These three are ones that I am building onto my skill set and will help when I can get a job. I am still working on my anxiety and need something like youth coaching to help bridge the gap.
