Reading and Training Journal

Reading

I’ve read only five books so far this year and have a little left to read in the CompTIA Network+ Certification Exam N10-007 book. This book is the sixth book that I am reading this year. I have been putting it off to read and need to refresh my knowledge with this book. Will be reading a Cloud+ book that is the CV0-003 exam book next.

I picked up some more CompTIA books that are for Server+ and Linux+ to add to my growing book collection. There are some things that I want to read including the CCNP Security Core book and the AWS AI Practitioner book. I do still have some books in my unread stack and will be going through quite a few of them this year.

Training

I have been working on both the Security+ material and also the SC-900 training material. This has worked out a little slower on my progress of both of these certifications. Working on doing maybe the SC-900 first which will help my budget for getting certifications. Also working on the Ethical Hacking Learning Path on LinkedIn Learning in addition to the Become a Cybersecurity Professional Learning Path.

There are some other things that I have changed up in my training. This is more for the TryHackMe and HacktheBox that I am changing to doing at 9am to start my day. I alternate days on HacktheBox with TryHackMe being every day for training. There is some training that I am doing for the Certified in Cybersecurity certification on Udemy. I want to get this one next so that I can pivot more into Cybersecurity.

Conclusion

Doing the training that I want to do now to further my goals in IT and in life. I was just training to feel better about myself instead of now where I want to further educate myself to expand my career options. There are some things that I want to do different in this blog and provide more of a glimpse into my life as far as reading and training which I will do to get back into IT.
