Scheduled Changes and Updates

Scheduled Changes

I have updated my calendar to add some more boxed out sessions for my studying. This includes studying more throughout the day and making it more routine. I am working on my skill set with TryHackMe and HacktheBox boxed in every day. There are some rooms that will help me increase my skill set on TryHackMe.

Also, I am working on the Certified Junior Cybersecurity Associate training on HacktheBox. There is some stretching that I have been doing along with scheduling reading sessions that will help me control my schedule. The 30-minute boxed out sessions are beneficial to keep me on track and to help me with studying more effectively.

Training Update

One of the other things that I am doing is doing a 30-minute block for General Study. I am using this time to do courses in Tai Chi, Nutrition, Finance, Prompt Engineering and others. Currently, I am reading the 25th book that is a Linux Essentials book and working on my study plan. I am doing Python and Ruby more and have a dedicated block every day for this as well.

Book Progress

I haven’t been working on the Network Security book as I think that I need more time to develop my skills as a writer. I am working on a new article about network virtualization certifications and will post that on Medium. I have a book and certification backlog so I am thinking that I should both read more and take more certification tests.

The book backlog is a more important backlog, and I will be reading the books more while preparing for exams. For the certification backlog, I am almost done studying for the Network+ and Certified in Cybersecurity exams. I am studying some more for the Certified in Cybersecurity exam and feel that I can pass that one now.

Conclusion

Having done some Ruby training, I am looking to get more comfortable with Python and Lua programming. I still am working on the Linux Essentials study plan and will take a test on September 11th or later. I am thinking that I might extend that one to two weeks later to allow for more studying.

Working on the CJCA training has helped me understand more about penetration testing. This knowledge is valuable because the CJCA is a red and blue team certification and will help me out in those two roles. I am planning on completing the Junior Cybersecurity Analyst Role Path to take this certification later on.
