Update on Certifications
I have rescheduled the CCST: Cybersecurity exam to June 11th and will take this one at home. I’ve also scheduled a Certified in Cybersecurity exam test at Community College of Aurora and will be taking this on July 9th, 2024. Having studied for both at the same time I will be prepared for these two certifications. I am having some anxiety issues going to a testing center and this will be the first time there since I worked at CCA.
Cybersecurity Update
Doing good on TryHackMe and have been able to rack up a 25 day streak with 5 streaks away from a badge. This has been somewhat challenging and I am liking the changes that I have seen in me. This is doing the due diligence on the rooms and studying as needed while going for the SOC Analyst 1 Learning Path on TryHackMe.
I am reading The Mathematics of Secrets and am putting in the CCST: Cybersecurity book as the 25th book along with The Book of Ruby as the 26th book. I am working on HacktheBox a little bit and am on my first module which is Hacking into HTB. The CCST: Cybersecurity book will give me a refresher going into the exam next Tuesday.
Conclusion
These changes to my schedule will provide two additional certifications if I pass both exams. The Certified in Cybersecurity exam is a free attempt as a candidate of ISC2. I am wanting to take the CCNA which is the main priority and then the MS-102 which is the Endpoint Administrator Associate certification from Microsoft.
I am hammering down on the certifications that I am wanting to do. This means that only the ones that I am doing and that will help me in my career will be considered. I am wanting next year to do the CompTIA Network+, the Cisco CCNP Enterprise ENCOR and ENARSI exams, and the ISC2 SSCP certification.
