Things in my Life
I am doing good and have been starting some new things that I want to do. I have bought another domain name which is Aaron597.com and the Aaron597.tech domain as well. Trying to do a second blog on this site and will keep you posted on this. Another thing that I have been doing more of is playing Evony The King’s Return and have progressed well in the game.
I have been going away from CompTIA and Microsoft certifications and have chosen to not pursue these. Wanting to do the skill set acquisition on the Security+, AZ-900, and Linux Essentials without taking the exam. I already did the work for the skill set with the Network+. Choosing the skill set will help me out with building these skills and save money by doing just the Certified in Cybersecurity and the CCNA certifications this year.
Working on my Skill Set
I’ve been working on some other skills like Terraform, Ruby, Python and JavaScript programming. These will come in handy in a more security focused role as a Network Administrator or Network Engineer. The skills that work for me are more CyberOps Associate and DevNet Associate minded after the CCNA. To build the skills that I need as a Network Administrator and to progress further in my studies I would go for these two certifications along with the CCNP Enterprise.
Reading and Progress Studying
I am still reading the CCNP Enterprise Wireless Design and Implementation book and will be reading the other two after. These are the Zero Trust Security Demystified and the Cybersecurity – Attack and Defense Strategies. I am going more into cybersecurity and want to still go down the route of Network Defense and Ethical Hacking.
There are some things that I am making more progress on that include the Terraform, AZ-900 study, skillsforall.com, and some more skill set based training on Ruby and Python. Willing to work as well now and will wait for another month or two to get back into IT from having Mental Health related issues back in 2014. Having a job is now a reality as far as being prepared for it and we will see if I can hold down a part-time IT role in the next couple of months.
Conclusion
I am ready to see how my skills compare to when I was working in IT from 2008 until 2014. I think that a part-time job will help me out with my anxiety and keep me motivated to work on certifications. There is some doubt that I still have being away from working for so long. I still think that there is a better calling for me as a Network Administrator, but for my mental health I will try something easier at first.
